What is mold and how is it removed?
Mold is a microscopic organism, found virtually everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Mold can be found on plants, foods, dry leaves and other organic material. Also susceptible to mold growth are cellulose materials, such as, cardboard, paper, ceiling tiles and sheet rock. Mold spores are easily detached and made airborne by vacuuming, walking on a carpet or sitting on a couch. In indoor environments, mold can grow in air conditioning ducts, carpets, pots of houseplants, etc.
The mold removal process involves a procedure that is similar to pesticide gassing except we do not need to “tent” the building. We bring into the structure hoses that are connected to the machines outside. We start in the overhead attic or crawl spaces so as to clean all insulation. We then introduce Ozone into he duct work so to clean and purify the AC system, as the ducts are an ideal distribution system for mold spores. We treat the entire home and contents.
